The baby boys went to their new forever home yesterday. It was strangely quiet when they left. And they aren’t the real ‘talkers’ of the bunch. It just seemed wrong somehow.
But I know they will be well cared for.
These two were super excited to take them home and love on ’em. They even allowed us to teach them how to trim the goats’ hooves.
I sent them home with 4 weeks of herbal wormer formula from Molly’s Herbs, dosage instructions, our email and our Vet’s name and #. They were set.
But before they headed out there were some other things to do,
like give the babies some new goat bling. Doesn’t he look studly? He’s ready for a night on the town. It’s actually just a goat collar. I thought his new owners might enjoy having an easy way to grab each of them to load up in the get away car. He looks all grown up. Awwww.
He didn’t much enjoy my tactics to display his maturity. Every time he would reach down to gobble some grass, the darn thing would bump him in the chin. Perhaps I made it a little too large? It’s the mother in me. Gotta have room to grow, you know.
It was also time for good-byes.
It’s hard when you’re 10.
Ah, who am I kidding. It’s hard on us all.
Good-bye boys. May your grass always be green and your rumen always healthy. You will be missed around here. Be good. Do your chores.
Love, Your Other Momma
